My understanding of this is that it was never possible to record on to a shellac 'blank' successfully. '78s' obviously produced in the main by cutting wax masters (and poss later 'acetate') and in any case the date is post-development of instantaneous discs.
Anyone able to clarify that I might have the wrong end of the stick and it was in fact possible to do this?

And to claim that I'm being aggressive because I demand my money back in capital letters is also very daring. And setting a deadline is probably not a threat in business matters if someone doesn't deliver.

Record was Cogs, it certainly got our cogs going how to get it done, all good, weighs about a kilo with the 3x180 gram records in plus inserts shrink stickers etc
We also do our own labels and inner bags with or without holes in black and white printed inner sleeves as well, for about a couple of years at least, it is more or less a given kind of thing
Breaking the 10K cutting plating and pressing was something I was looking forward to, I guess well over 3.5 Million records left our plant say at an average of 350 records per title, suffice to say some runs where in the 1-5K range plus a few in the 10K range, may be closer to 4 Million as a guess of course
Once again not to bad for Australia

I've finally tried with this spray and works great:
CRC 83009AF ANTISTATIK 100 200 ML
No need for rubbing or washing, it dries almost instantly
