Palamino are good people. I've used them for 2 of my records and plan on going back for a 3rd release.

Peter has done 3 records for me and I was pleased with them all. One of the nicest guys I've ever talked with. He really went above and beyond in answering my questions and helping me out. Andrea: I'd call and talk to him. He'll give better answers than I can. But I'll attempt to give you a little m...

I don't see anything wrong with searching for the best quality and best price. I do that for pressing plants and I do that for lathe cutters. I don't argue with people or try and talk down their prices. I just write a plant or person for a quote and pay what they ask. Supporting their business. It's...

Re: UNITED RECORDS...ehhh well hmmm...

They are the cheapest pressing plant out there (except for Nashville Record Productions)... I've made 14 records with them, and had no problems with customer service, but every other plant I've used... Rheinbow, Eriiiikkkka, and RekkidPressindawtcwm, whom I used for 2 records each, were AWFUL in te...

If you want 100 or more, your best bet money wise is to just use a regular pressing plant. Some people here might disagree, but I only go with lathe cuts for 50 copies or less, after that you might as well spend a little more and use a pressing plant. I don't know what country you're in, but if you'...

You can get an international bank draft and mail it to him if that's easier for you. That's what I've done.

Spray Painting a record

I'm having a record made, a one sided 12". It will be clear with no record sticker on either side. I know silk screening is an option, but I want to use a stencil to spray paint the b-side. I've already had someone make me a really nice stencil to use. Well here is the question. Any suggestions on w...

While i'm on the subject of sleeves, I'm also looking for places to buy 7, 10 and 12" sleeves that are colored. Not having much luck finding anything other than white.

^ Thank you!

Anybody have a line on paper sleeves for a 5"? I'm thinking they don't exist and I'll probably have to make my own.

Record sleeves and bags

Can any of you tell me a good place to pick up odd sized record sleeves and bags?

Specifically, I need some for a 5" record.

I can't give you any real info on it, but I'm interested. I'd love to see a list of what he has released. He told me that for a long time he kept a copy of everything he did, but it got too out of control. So he ended up donating most of his collection to a local library. But if you're working on a ...

I was just about to post the same question as the topic creator. I'm in a very similar position, helping run a small label that puts out some 'normal' records, but we also enjoy doing super short runs of 20-75 copies. I've used Peter King a few times now and have been really happy with his work. But...

Etching A Record Onto A CD

Hi, this is my 1st post here. I'm no expert so forgive me if I use some of the wrong terminology. I was thinking of having a record made on a CD. Not a CD sized record, but an actual CD. I know it's possible, and I know who can do it for me. I was wondering a few things though. Would this be hell on...
