Re: how to determine cutting head max power?
Thanks for that detailed reply. VR uses 1A fuses inline for the each channel of c-head. 2000W amp as far as I remember (?). But each head is different. Presto K's used 2x6V6 (or 6L6) tube amps, and it was just a hair quieter than VT, and those amps would make around 30w clean so I am confused... Isn...

how to determine cutting head max power?
Is there any way to know what is the max power of the old mono cutting head? I mean, max power RMS I can send before I fry it? I want to build a power amp for Neumann MS52H, but don't know where +/- to start.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Stylus wear always on the same side
Guy/girls. I have ongoing problem with VR that I can't trace for years... My diamond stylus always breaks on the same side (e.g I have hiss on the same side when it starts to wear). And what is also related with this - when doing a loop, e.g. ending loop - the pop/click/crackle also is heard on that...

What's on my mind - reversing diamond (180 degree) and do a mono-audio maybe?

Are current Xray plastics still good to Lathe cut?
Is someone able to cut from digital files direct to current Xray material?
Has anyone tried standard plastic laminated paper to cut?
