Re: Project Presto D7 Tip Off

Sure bloody. a while ago another one was up for sale on the bay at a much cheaper price, i was really tempted to get it but decided not to in the end due to shipping worries.
If i may ask what was your search term to find that as it did not come up in my daily searches.

Re: cdr embossing

Hi @fredbissnette, Is your video still available, I'm interested in your setup too. I second that. Even though i have a non functional HMV 2300H, You fredbissnette have inspired me to do a build of my own after watching your videos. I was actually using your videos as blueprint of sorts for my own ...

Re: Laser cutting masters

Some guy who messes about with lasers had a try at embossing but with very poor results. Granted he's not very versed in the cutting game but his attempts were entertaining and an eye opener for a noob like me. Looking forward to seeing your work sir.

My Very First Cutter

Earlier this week i was very lucky enough to spot and acquire an His Masters Voice Portable Disc Recorder Model 2300 which was available for sell in the UK. Apparently it was owned by some university who were gonna dump it in the bin before the seller got a hold of it. The sale included the matching...

Re: Open Source Cutter: Home Groove ?

I'm not a wealthy fellow by any means, but personally i think the $500 price point for a working lathe is pretty reasonable considering most of the lathes i've seen up for sale are if not double or more than the price of the home groove. And these are for non-working lathes, so after paying $1 - $2K...

Re: Vestax VRX 2000 on Ebay

Wow, I'm surprised by the comments. I know this thing is not supposed to be a professional solution but is it really that bad as a simple home based cutter. You would think vestax should know what their doing right?

The cutter called “Home Groove” which comprises of an overhead unit which is supposed to attach to any turntable. This could be quite us...

Linear Tracking Turntable

Does anyone know, or can recommend, suggest a linear tracking turntable with the following features.

1. Motorized tone arm.
2. manual control of tone arm placement.

Something in the range of around £100 - £300ish
