Re: Room Humidity / Static Issues

Thanks everyone, problem solved! Firstly, its 'mainly' a static issue, fixed by adding one more small humidifier and also if severe, some extra liquid mid cut, which is working fine (thanks Bobi!) A bigger issue i uncovered is that this year, i am cutting over 3 lathes (all VR with SP10 MKIIs), wher...

Re: Room Humidity / Static Issues

80% of the year is fine, its just battling winter, it has been the same for the past 4 years while living here, i'm unsure if there is anything i can do bar get a sealed house with constant central heating, but hoping for radical ideas :)

Room Humidity / Static Issues

I live in Bulgaria and winters are very cold, and we have no central heating. This means dry, cold days with an oil radiator on, making humidity about 20%. I have a humidifier in my room but in these conditions it can only get it up to about 25%. Also i use the the usual anti-static gun etc whilst c...

Re: Replace main unit power for heat and pitch

I should add, the main issue is pitch. I cut a lot of records, about 300 or 400 a month and when calibrating for a run it would be ideal if I could dial in the pitch so that the same voltage is easily achievable to each lathe. Currently my 3 main units are all totally different and it’s purely just ...

Re: Replace main unit power for heat and pitch

Hi Mark!

I worded this badly. I want a control for each lathe, separately, i just want a digital read out so that i can get them accurate, rather than the knobs and stickers. So i will be building a separate unit for each lathe.

Replace main unit power for heat and pitch

I am running multiple VRs and wanting to get things running a little tighter across them collectively. I map each of my cutter heads and use my own iRIAA curves to bring them all together soundwise, but now want to replace the main unit (i do not use the EQ, just heat and pitch) and wondering if any...

Re: Myshank Nightingale lathe Using Tutorials

As he is unable to set it up, I was just wondering whether he went and trained with you, as that is what has to happen when buying a Nightingale system.

Assuming it is second hand, i'm sure someone on here will be able to offer help and all will get sorted soon enough.

Re: polyethylene / polypropylene blanks

Shanks are PETG, whereas Polycarbonate is harder and generally used for embossing, it likely isn't a good idea for your diamond.
