Hey.
Does anyone have any experience or tips on how to remove the black wheel from the VR T560?
Looking to replace it!
Cheers

Re: Test the condition of a VR head
So I just got 3 sharp stylus in the mail. The geometry on all 3 is quite out of whack and all 3 exhibit different playback issues. the worst one has noise in one channel. I can manage to get to an almost passable level with heat but not quite good enough. the other two just have upper mid distortion...

Re: Test the condition of a VR head
Well, I found the problem. Swapped out the stylus and all is fixed. Leads me to this question. Freshly sharpened stylus causing distortion. How is this so. Looks fine but is the shortest one I’ve seen so far. Doesn’t seem to rattle about looks and is unused. Strange. Tried to reseat it a few times b...

Re: Test the condition of a VR head
If this helps, I just tested all four channels and they all read 3.3 - 3.5 ohms.

Test the condition of a VR head
Hi, I’ve had a bit of a look around and haven’t found any good test method to determine the condition of a VR head. The reason I ask is because I have recently acquired a second VR and the head is suspect. When I cut a sine wave, it cuts fine up to about half the volume of my original VR and then su...

Re: Calibrating VR t560 with daw
Hi there, this is very good reading for me as I iron out the mistakes I’m making with a new VR.
If I understand correctly here, with a test tone at -18db out of the compuer interface into the main unit I should read .77 V at the output of the main unit?

Power amp for VR
Hello trolls I have just set up a VR and have a question about the amp. If I’m not using the souri amp, how do I know (other than reading the output on back of the unit) how much power is going into the head? I’ve been cutting with the amp set at half volume. The head sounds very loud. There must be...
