Re: Anyone used Staticide?
I have been using this for years. https://cramolin-shop.de/antistatik-spraydose-200ml.html Without this spray, the cutting thread usually remains in the groove and is difficult to remove. The "crackling" noise is also almost eliminated. Do not smoke as flammable, do not inhale, causes eye irritatio...

Re: Vanrock Cutting Problem- Trouble with Highs and Lows
I want to try using equalization but I don't know where to start to clean up the sound a little. Hi! Quoting the great @markrob here: Best bet is to cut some program material with no EQ and then use a program like Fab Filter Q2 to compare the reference against the captured playback of the cut. This...

Hello disco, What do you think your chances are of finding someone to sell you this particular model? 🤑 ? Pretty low chances 😅 Try messaging this guy, looks like he is deeply involved with HARAs https://www.youtube.com/@toucyy/videos Yes, he is a legend! He helped me in the past with my japanese la...

Hi!
I'd like to buy a full restored HARA M180 (7" platter) or RM805 (12“ platter) and leave my current unit as backup/for spare parts.
HARA sellers, show me what you have!
Best regards,
Fer

Re: Removing the film (+ my first releases, woo!)
Hi!
You can try using with a plastic scraper in the very edge of the blank, it should help lifting up the film so you could grab it and pull it off. Do it gently and you won't scratch the blank
Congrats on your first release! The trading cards are so cool!

WTB Hara M180 (or parts)
Hi! I want to buy another Hara M180 lathe as a backup for my current unit. Mine is 100% functional, but sooner or later it will die, right? 💀 I could consider buying only some parts (idler wheel, rubber mount/suspension + motor) or a non-functional unit for spare parts 🔩 Thanks for your time, folks!...

Re: polyethylene / polypropylene blanks
Hi! I cut on polypropylene sheets almost two years ago, it was fun and had no issues with my cutting needle (MyShank diamond). Sound was OK, but after some weeks the discs turned smelly! 😂 https://www.instagram.com/p/CLPX3ojje-5/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= https://www.instagram.com/p/CLPcyIUjntK/?igshid=Ym...

Re: Vanrock e-101 weight spring
Hi!
Based on my experience, it is better to replace the old spring with a new one. I did mine from a .011 electric guitar string. Do it as large as you can, then trim bit by bit until you get the optimal size.
Best regards,
Fer

Re: SP10 Rubber Mat - Uneven
I'd go with a neoprene mat. There's a little too much natural 'give' in cork for my needs. I'll go with the neoprene option, thanks! :D Very very very happy with my new 2mm neoprene mat from number1gasketshop. Best purchase I've made in a long time! PS Thanks @SueDenim and @tragwag for your advice ...
