Where to press? 250 7"

I've spent so much time messing around with cutting records, but I've never actually had one pressed myself. I'd like to know a good and relatively cheap place to get 250 7" records with white labels done. Hit me with some suggestions. Thanks!

I need a new cutting stylus for my k8!

Hey,

I've been happily buying these microgroove sapphire stylus from Gib at West-Tec for the past few years, but sadly he seems to have run out. Does anyone have a source for sapphire microgroove stylus? Or better yet, a diamond stylus that would fit a k8?

Thanks

Seriously. I didn't even know I wanted a Fairchild suitcase lathe until I saw it, and then I compulsively bid on it. Fortunately I snapped out of it before I went to far, but someone got a great machine!

Re: Wood Glue record

I've messed around a lot with wood glue using stampers and silicon molds. I can never seem to get it to dry correctly without warping. Maybe its the climate I'm in?

I started cutting with a Wilcox-Gay machine, and it was a good starter machine. You can usually find them for pretty cheap on ebay. Also, if you write to Gib at West Tech, he usually has several on hand that aren't listed on his site. The price is sometimes slightly higher than average, but its wort...

Hey, its not NRC, its actually a lead on where the NRC equipment ended up. NRC has been real cool about giving me any info they had on the sale. Looks like it ended up with someone in the West End, which is like a mile from my house.

Plant that once existed in West End Atlanta?

...following a most likely deadend lead here, but does anyone know of a record pressing facility that once ran out of the West End in Atlanta? This was most likely in the 80's.

How damn simple would it be if you just start with say 220 F on the side with the stamper Leave the other cold or say a little warm enough to keep your hand on for say a minute or two Than go from there increasing the temp by 10 degrees at the time until you find the happy medium Use PVC clear shee...

Flexi pressing, time to get serious.

Helo, Ok, after my last post, I want to try to press a flexi. I did some testing, but had no idea what pressure/temp to try, so I ended up with a burnt sheet of acetate, and a not so fun time cleaning off the stamp I was using. I think I have everything I would need. I have two heated platens and th...

Same like any other stamper man It is formed to suit the flexi press according to the stamper mounting requirements In days past for some machines they where left flat than glued on the carrier at the top of the press The flexi blanks where pressed with the bottom plate heated and no cooling one at...

Hey, Thanks for the info. I was just curious because flexi stampers, at least at Pirates Press, seem to cost way less than traditional stampers. Also, I saw mention in a previous post that someone was silvering flexi stampers using a bowl instead of a sprayer, which sounded cool. ...and the actual r...

Flexi-disc plates. Anyone have info?

Hello,

Does anyone know/have any info on how flexi stamps are plated? I've seen some references here on the forum, but nothing conclusive.

Thanks

You know I was wondering, are there any surviving microfusion presses that we know of, possibly in the Caribbean somewhere? I've searched the Internet in hopes of finding one, but I've never been able to come up with any still in operation or not. I know all his stuff was donated to the Smithsonian...

cool man. just an idea i know its an experiment but i guess if you would find a press with at least two or better 4 shafts the result would be much better i guess. because of the force being nit just in the center if you know what i mean. good luck mate Definitely. I'll be experimenting with gettin...
