I have taken peeled lacquer and dissolved it in nitrocellulose laquer,the stuff they use for guitar finishes and had some luck but thats as far as i have gotten.lots of bad vapors and very flammable.

It seemed like you were getting the left channel of one side of the ridge and maybe the right channel on the other side but it would the next groove on the record,so the combined signal were two different things.makes me want to post a video of it.i will go to the lab today and post it here tonight ...

Actually,i have used glue to clean albums and when i peel the glue off i have a negative,i have played them and you get half of the signal and half of the signal of the next groove.very spooky sounding.

I just cut a 1/4" of grooves for a lead in and a 1/4" of grooves for the lead out,you could do more until the tonearm picks up.
