We use a slightly newer version of this. Pretty much the same but has a plastic enclosure over the whole thing. You can regulate the suction with the knobs on top!

You need to measure the freq response of the head and then correct with a PEQ in the chain before you do anything.

Not to alter the dynamics but to catch any stray peaks (mainly on bands 3 and 4) that will otherwise come through as distortion when cutting LOUD! I haven't seen any problems with a Technics SL1200, you just have to make sure stylus heat is correct to avoid the audio "wobble".

What about your thoughts on a Numark TTX?

I've seen and heard 1st hand, perfect, loud, flat response cuts on a vinyl recorder once you master a perfect paremetric eq, compressor and limiter chain! As good as the best cuts!

But out of the box from Souri, without this, not so good!

I'll take a pair but can I be awkward and gave then WITHOUT the driver cut outs? These holes limit the choices for me?

I agree, looks great with features, not criticising but one could make successful cuts for half price using T560.

I know someone here who is seriously interested in the ZEZ and if they buy they will sell me their T560.
