Yes it absolutly works. You can completly automate multiple t560 with midi of your daw, stepper motors and a teensy or arduino type boards. This includes head down, lead in, cut, space between tracks, lead out, head up, move head back to start position. A lot easier and less hardware needing solutio...

My buddy tim of vinyl-recording has a vacuum printing table. he prints each inner side (its not transparent, you cant look through the print) and glue it together. its easy that way because you dont see any bubbles of the glue between, in case there are any. i guess its the same principle like your ...
