When you say "plastic", you mean too policarbonate , or only pvc ?

Before to cut, do you use a sort of antistatic solution to apply on surface disc ? This help reduce the hiss...

Hmm, so this point I have a question : is there a standard meausure of air gap in a cutting head ?

I am speaking of Cybersonics lathe obviously, not polish machine...

Any real photo of this lathe exist ? I was curious see inside the parts...

Incomplete ? To me it seems to be complete, considering that there are both the tonearm and the overhead mechanic with mono cutting head original LD ( Le Discographe ). Interesting machine for a project. The motor is a Radiofrance, probably synchronous, with idler drive on platter.

The head wasn't Cybersonics, but Ortofon Dss green stereo series.

And Quantegy still exist or it's dead ? I can't see more their website...
