Haeco SC2 users, how do you ground your stylus heaters?

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

Haeco SC2 users, how do you ground your stylus heaters?

I've just about got my Scully/Haeco system going, but I'm having a hard time figuring out the heater situation. Looking at it, and ignoring the suspension system microswitch that cuts the power, it seems like one side of the heater voltage is coming in on the plug, same as a westrex, and it is grounded through the chassis of the cutterhead to the suspension system where is picks up a ground wire to an amphenol connector in the back of the suspension system. I'm wary to just up and ground 6vdc to my cutterhead. I can't find a decent schematic for the SC2. I'm kind of piecing the little information on the SC2 in Mr. Bodens book together with Westrex 3D schematics.

If someone just has a schematic for the SC2 Head and/or CS1 suspension system, I would be grateful.

The only HAECO SC2 user we know of is Bernie Grundman Mastering, USA. Any chance they'll give you a tip?

Paul from Aardvark has also an SC2
its the same as 3D coils data pinout.

Len has many of those. at least the last time i was there.

so it should be no problem to get that running.

original specs for Westrex:
drivecoilcoil: 10.6 ohm PIN (D,E)
Feedback coil: 13.0 ohm PIN (A,B)
easy to locate the coils.
heater was a seperate cable with babana connector on back for westrex.
i think its similar or maybe they took it on one of the empty connectors.
THEN its PIN C.

Thanks for the input. I'll try Mr. Grundman and somebody at Aardvark. I put a call into Mr. Horowitz at HRS, but nothing back yet. No problems there, I'm sure those guys are slammed. I'll report back when I have a solution. Worst case scenario, I'll run my own ground wire through the suspension to the amphenol.
