Vinyl cutting Help!!!! Loop Records
I need a Loop Record cut. How and who can do this out there. Is this process easily done with a computer on the lathe? Can it be done without?
Anyone out there experienced in cutting these types of records? A loop record is where one side has a number of tracks that loop after about 2-3 min. so each track has a locked groove at the end hence the term "loop Record." I know there is a calculation in the tempo that each track has to be which is (i cant remember what tempo that is right now)

here's some hints:
the tempo of your track has to be exactely 133 1/3 bpm (resp. 66,5 bpm), so a 4/4 bar runs smoothly at 33 1/3 rpm. so the loop has to be 1.8 secs long
for loops running at 45 rpm they have to run at 180 bpm and have to have a length of 1 1/3 secs.
if you wanna cut them without elctronic aid, you need to practise. it's pretty hard to get all loops right manually...

yes, you need a special loop electronics.
It depends on, what cutting lathe you have.
vinylium pitch does it, and souri offers a add-one kit,
as far as I know....
you have to adjust the loop length, then you can start.
I use the vinylium pitch, and it works very well!
I´ve cutted some loop LP´s with arround 50-100 loops per side.
