Power Amp Recommendations for Presto 1C

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

Hey guys

I'm looking for another crown amp to run this 1c I have but wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations as to a similar good sounding / working amp that won't break my pockets and I can find fairly easy as I want to get this third lathe cutting this week.

Any help is appreciated
all the best!

Would be very interesting to find a relatively cheap amp for the 1C , I'm in that too.

We are talking about the low impedance 1C , true ?¿
Very Busy days , some cutting works at least , soon online again

We must promote the use and abuse of vinyl records.

pyle ppa300 will do 160watts @ 15ohms bridged mono should work good..

any power amp thats rated 300-350watts @ 8ohms would work good..

the pyle states in the manual that it will drive 16ohm speakers, and the price is low..
generally its for reproduction.. but i like to play wif it sometimes.. :P
