strange console Souri's lathe (www.vinylrec.de)

Anything goes! Inventors! Artists! Cutting edge solutions to old problems. But also non-commercial usage of record cutting. Cost- effective, cost-ineffective, nutso, brilliant, terribly fabulous and sometimes fabulously terrible ideas.

I've seen it last week. Maybe home made. It even has a USB port. Weird....

Yes, I confirm; it is homemade .
I have spoken with the guy that have built it and he said me that for work " it needs some signal pick-ups (several position feedbacks from the cutter head) and it drives the motor for lead-in & Lead-out grooves.
It has a built in arduino computer and a program that takes care of all. In addition it can drive the music-source and the turntable-speed and start stop." These are his words.

Has this been discussed at greater length on our site? I can't find it.

nice to see that others tried same things :)
reminds me to the modification I built for our vinylrecorder several years ago.

All the lead in - lead out and endloop Automations are done by normal relays (see the green switches). I added a Midi based pause groove automation which is ver handy...
