IRIAA huh?
Dear list,
Just found this on local market, can it be used for cutting ?
This is unit for testing RIAA circuits.

Some info on P.42

Thanks !

Re: IRIAA huh?
The second link is broken so it's hard to see the specs, however looking at it it seems to be a proper "plug in" so as to provide the reverse RIAA curve which is a requirement for cutting a record since the amplification equipment with a phono input will add the the curve back
It seems to also have a few options, as a guess looks like it was made before the standard curve was adopted by all and sundry
If it is in working order and at a reasonable cost it will be useful for a semi pro use as most cutting lathes do have the inverse curve built in to the system
Best

Hi!
Haven't read the brochure, but the only EMT IRIAA thing I know is just a passive unit - 3 resistors and 2 capacitors will do the same...

Re: IRIAA huh?
Yup, resistors and caps seem to be quiet expensive these days:

60$ for 3 resistors and 2 caps? still too much for me...
