Blank discs in the uk

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

What sort of price are you looking at? I know cheapest is best, I've found a company in Glasgow that might be able to provide blank discs in multiple colours, I think the cutting into circles is the expensive part

I'm just trying to find out what the options are and to see what's available in the uk? I'm new to the cutting scene. I'm on the verge of buying my first lathe but before I do I need to make sure I can secure a supply of disc in the uk. What's the company's name? Many thanks.
Ps Europe is an option but my preference is UK.

As far as I'm aware, the only option for UK-made vinyl or polywhatever blanks is to find a plastics company and negotiate a price. As has already been said, it is the CNC that is the expensive part. It is highly likely that whatever price you come up with will not be as competitive as somebody like Steven over at myshank can produce them for. Even when you factor in shipping costs from mainland Europe. It is simply down to the volume of production. Good luck with your search, though! I'm sure many here would be keen to know the result.
