Record Puck Clamp -which to use?

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

I would like to purchase a low profile locking puck clamp to secure blanks to a technics sp10. Does anyone have any recommendations? Souri's? Something similar?

I made one at one point by tapping a screw into the side of an aluminum 45 adapter

I suggest this one and here is why.

If you want to cut closer to the center of your blank, you can unscrew the top and replace the round black puck with a certain size nut and use that just like the clamp and not take up so much space on the blank with the puck.

Hi There,
A great suggestion from yourbedhead, although buying it here (Where I Bought Mine!) could save you around £7 / $10 :-

I make really simple clamps out of my excess makrolon.
Just drill it to where it fits tight on the center pin and glue some of the protective sheeting to the bottom to make a slip resistant surface.
Costs almost literally nothing and the best part is if I lose one or forget to bring it to a cutting event (which has happened) I can just whip out a knife and make a new one real quick.
