Presto 6N mounting template

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

Presto 6N mounting template

Dear Lathe trolls,

I have a Presto 6N I used to use years ago as my first system (with Grampian head). Im now setting it up with a technics SP10 turntable and am having a plinth made.

Anyone have some kind of template that shows the distance the hole should be from the turntable spindle?

I could measure it all out but, it would save the hassle if someone already has or has a piece of paper.

Cheers, Lewis

Only just saw your post - do you still need the measurements?

I have now made the plinth and measured it the old fashioned way but, it would be nice to see what you your measurements are compared to mine. I think from central pin to pivot was 11 1/2''.

Mine measures about 29cm - looks like you've got it covered. Cheers!
