Lacqers MDC and electroplating.

Once you have cut a master laquer, you have metal stampers created and have records pressed from them. Discuss manufacturing here. (Record Matrix Electroforming- Plating, Vinyl Record Pressing.)

Lacqers MDC and electroplating.

Hello to all forum members.

I have a question about lacqers MDC.
My plating bath we worked until now with Apollo lacqers or Transco.
We started to do some testing with lacqers MDC, but we encountered a problem.
After electroplating, when the separation of the stamper lacqer, lacqer layer detaches completely from the aluminum plate (see photo attached).
This plastic layer is to join the stamper and there is no porblème to separate it from the stamper.
The result of the stamper is good and the first vinyl tests are good.

We carry the same preparation procedure as the lacqer with Apollo / Transco lacqers.
We also use the same settings electroplating.

Someone knows if you have to change something in the way of preparing the lacqer settings or bath?

Thank you in advance for any help or advice as possible from you.
I am available for more information.

Good luck to all and sorry for my bad English!

This can happen with any brand of lacquer when they are very fresh. Did you shave the entire edge off the lacquer disc?

Hello.

I have no information if lacqers are very fresh ...
I tried to shave outside all ways : full, partial and without shaving .
The result is always the same ....

Cordially.
