I understand that steam is released from the plates, non return valves and steam trap take care of the rest.
Now cool water is passed through for about 8 seconds (roughly 20 Litres) and the non return valve/ heat exchange/cooling tower take care of the rest .....Is a 2nd steam trap required here to handle the initial burst? Or simply release the vapour into the atmosphere? I'd prefer to recover as much H2O as possible.
How do you purge the residual water from the lines prior to next steam cycle?
thanks in advance
