Inside-Out Cuts
I was wondering if there is anyone is aware of anyone currently cutting with inverted grooves, ie: where the record plays from inside, near the label to the outside of the record.
Edit : the term is "inside-out" cuts. -Aussie.

Re: inverted grooves
Maybe we need a list of disk cutters with this option. Presto k series, maybe j series? Not sure about the presto overhead models. Neumann scully and haeco im sure. Fairchild probably not? Im not an expert

Some Scully lathes - yes.
Re: Inside-Out Cuts
Any of the Presto overhead machines could cut inside out with the correct feedscrew. I think all the console Presto models with fixed feedscrews could cut both ways also. Some (most/all?) of the Fairchild models could be switched in the gear box to reverse direction to cut inside out as well.

Re: Inside-Out Cuts
I have a Presto K-10 with both outside-in and inside-out feed screws. Inside-out is less problematic in relation to swarf management.
Re: Inside-Out Cuts
we do that a lot on souri's machine.
