ok, so I probably just don't notice it.

I cut mostly heavy bass music that doesn't have a lot going on up there anyway. Next time I have blanks, i'm going to cut white noise on both sides.. w/ and w/o a recording curve. in hopes I can either hear this effect, or see it w/ my microscope..
generally its for reproduction.. but i like to play wif it sometimes.. :P

I'll try that D..

Last questions:

If this is a inherent limitation of the media and there is no way around it, other then a diameter eq, how do professional lathes correct the issue?

or is it something we all just have to live with?

i am starting to see it like:

as one get towards the end of the record of ones life, your mind is reduced by alzheimer's.. you can't stop it, change it, or prevent it.. and it's something everyone will have to deal with and accept at one point in their life..
generally its for reproduction.. but i like to play wif it sometimes.. :P
