Cutting into blank-side of vinyl singles (not dubs/acetate!)

So, recently picked went digging through about 3000 1990's electronica singles, looking for some vinyls with a blank side, wish was granted! I found 9 blank stampers within this huge bin, 10 cents ain't bad for cost either.

Now, I suppose my question is: Are the PVC blanks supplied by souri for the vinylcorder basically the same thing? Or is it a different compound than the usual PVC? I was able get get decent results, surprisingly.

And they may 'last longer than dubs', but I should be attempting embossing, I suppose? I am glad to find these for some practice, just wondering if it's the same to expect if I were to order the vinyl blanks.

thanks

IIRC he uses a black disc sandwiched in clear PVC, to avoid any issues with colors and fillers.
