Hello,
I would like to know how to close the record without the needle going to the label when listening.
perhaps with a counterclockwise turn?

Turn off the feedscrew motor, count one thousand one, one thousand two, snd then lift the cutter head

after your music program ends continue by hand to turn the black wheel in the same direction until you reach the position close to the label. while you are turning the black wheel switch off the overhead motor. when you reach the desired position of the locked groove stop turning the wheel and wait the record to make a complete turn. i've put a sticker on the brass thing that you use to press the record to the turntable which helps me to see when the record makes a complete turn. after that complete turn lift the head.

hope this helps,
Bob

This has never failed me with lead-outs.
