after doing a bunch of critical listening tests and a-b ing test cuts with originals i have found that i still have a bit of warble issues with the 1200 even after it has been modded for torque
its almost not detectable ona 45 but on a 10 inch the firsrt cm or so has a bit

i may look for a sp10 mk3

cheers

mk3 is one of the best ever made broadcasting turntables comes with technics sp-02 record lathe motor but too pricey
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Technics-SP-10-Mk3-Turntable-Complete-Power-Supply-Original-NICE-Condition-Rare-/371836570579?hash=item56932fcbd3:g:Z7wAAOSwM4xXYPXs

sp10 mk2 have 6 kg/cm torque it's a nice deck for cutting and embossing at half price
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Technics-SL-1000-MKII-Professional-Direct-Drive-Turntable-/301972543459?hash=item464ef757e3:g:ll0AAOSwvg9XT5gn

also the sp15 it costs between 400-700$ and have 3kg/cm torque it's good for cutting but i'm not sure for embossing

my opinion is if you are interesting only for embossing why don't you try a Numark TTX1 or Numark TT500 with 4.5kg/cm torque?
Their specifications gives 0.003 Wow&Flutter vs Technics sl1200 mk2 0.002,5 Wow and Flutter

the hanpin oems dont work at all they have great starting torque and great acceleration but no real moving torque
i modded my 1200 to have a 68k resistace at r209
that works better than where i had it at 100 but i still have a warble
its on pronounced on music with sustained notes but its there

my audio is getting really good

im dead in the water until i find an sp10 2/3

did you had warble with stanton?
did you try to disable the pitch lock?
As far i know the stanton does not have the same quartz lock as Technics have.

how heavy your cutterhead is? my Fairchild weights 8.25 oz and i don't have any warble problem with stanton
could you upload a video with embossed music on stanton please?
