Hi all, I just listed this nice little lathe on EBay today and will be listing a Presto 6D with 5 leadscrews and a Presto 5D cutterhead in the next few days. Please feel free to ask any questions.

Hi, i was the one who purchased this. I've been testing a bunch and have tried moving the lather to a technics 1200 using an old mixer i had laying around. I'll post a clip as soon as i have something worth showing off. I've had trouble with a little wow/flutter with the technics (as it seems others have too). I'm still a newbie and trying to compensate by adjusting the pitch on the turntable.

Cheers, Steve

congrats on picking this up!
I'd say your mostly out of luck using a presto overhead on the 1200, I tried for a while in different ways and was not successful.
If you're up for a challenge you should give it a shot, but keep brainstorming in case it doesn't work out.

what solved my torque problem was the technics SP-10 mk2

So, one of the local stores helped me out and let me test a few different turntables. Happy to say the Stanton STR8150 does the trick!
