I have already tried shop vacs (2) Aquarium pumps (6) all have been pretty poor or too noisy or both! Time for a new approach will keep you folks posted

Re: Possible vac solution?
Its a really noisy thing, i used one, i installed at my cellar with a 8 meter hose.
I changed it to a "Rietschle Picolino VTE 3" much lower noise level, but its still installed in an another room.

Re: Possible vac solution?
I tried one of those a few months ago would definitely go for a larger pump say 6cfm or above as the 3cm definitely does not have enough suction love to know how you get on thinking of getting a larger cfm vacuum pump but they are quite noisy.
Re: Possible vac solution?
Well pretty good results so far and very low noise .....all I have done is placed the pump on a piece of 50mm foam & kept the tubing in short lengths.....certainly no reason to locate in separate room
