Has anyone done a release through Mobineko?

Hi there.
I was just searching out plants again and found one I had never heard of.
I'm sure this is just a brokerage service, but its interesting in terms of their pricing and free shipping to the US for most states. Has anyone used them before or know more about what they do in terms of the DMM and plant operations (like who exactly they are if not operating the plant themselves?)
http://www.mobineko.com/
I need a full cutting solution. But would consider parts :)

Yes looks like a broker. Note that all commercial DMM cutting facilities are located in Europe.

How does your local manufacturer in Canada compare pricewise?

I know loads here that use them.

As far as. aware the plant is GZ. They are just brokerage.

No problems from what I hear here.

Cannot speak of their overseas option though.

They placed a note on their web about using some German plant for pressing vinyl records.
There's been no cutting for them in GZ since August 2008 and probably no pressing as well (but I'm not sure about this, it could have been done through another broker).

My options right now are Rainbo (I moved to california this spring from Vancouver) or having Opcode do the full service work. Even if I got with Rainbo I'm stilling thinking about having Todd at deepgrooves or Dietric cut the next round of releases (2 on the books at the moment with 2 more in the oven) and then send them to rainbo. The only reason I'm considering these other guys at mobineko is the free shipping, no tax for a region I don't live and and the DMM option. Rainbo really is my first choice as I have done several records through them over the past 10 years but about 5 years ago we had a problem with one of their cutting engineers (major major delay... like 5 months of waiting) that put me off for a while and I shifted releases around to other plants.
I need a full cutting solution. But would consider parts :)

The guys in Que. have priced themselves out of the market by about 200 dollars easily, before tax. So they are out of the picture in my opinion. I need 100 records for 800 bucks flat or less.

Here are the two tracks I want to have on the B-Side. A-side tracks are almost done. There is another records that is done that will be matrixed before this (BTR-012, mine will be BTR-013, 13 is a lucky number in my world).

As I know, maybe I am wrong mobineko gives the orders in Taiwan.
A friend has press there and he says the quality is bad. No personal experience.

Taiwan? I don't think so.

If you want to get records pressed, deal direct with the pressing plant.

Good luck with your record.

Well one can have a fairly good idea where pressing or records takes place if it is an in-house cut there fore metal work, pressing
If the cut was done outside it gets harder to establish where they where pressed
Well at least with not as much certainty, only an educated guess can be had
However it is possible to establish up to a point on the pressings at least as each plant has a slightly different mold profile therefore one can spot the difference
So if you know what you are looking at, it is not impossible to establish source with the above proviso's
Cheers
Chris
