Ortofon DS522 Styli Wanted

Does anyone know who sells the styli for Ortofon DS522 cutter heads ?
Dimensions are 4mm length and .73-.75 mm diameter.

Is there a stylus from another head manufacturer that will fit those dimensions ?

Thanks, but I don't think they are listed.
The only 2 there are Ortofons with an alloy shank. Mine do not have a shank as such - it is all part of the stylus,

Hey Nigie, have you the dimensions of stylus holder hole ?

the stylus for the mono ortofons is 0.75mm diameter straight solid ruby (saphire...), so the hole in the armature is just a little bigger.
also needed is the so called collet ring, which goes around the armature (conical) reducing its inner diameter so that the stylus is held in its place.

original stylus # is 329 (without SH which stands for aluminium SHank..)

if anyone knows a source, old stock, new manufacturer or has some lie around please let know..
or might be possible to ask apollo if they do a batch of 329 without shank...

I understand that the sapphire stylus for the DS522 has a length of 4 mm, cylindrical shaft. The diameter of the shaft is specified to be between 0.75 mm and 0.73 mm.

Does anyone have a photo/drawing of the collet used to hold the sapphire? I think mine is missing.

I will take some pistures of the head, connector and stylus mounting next time I come to my cutting room (next week)

Getting to this point is still a chore- You need to think about how to remove the 2 layers of rotating plates to gain access to the armature.

Removing the collet without tool?

Dip a toothpick penetrating oil, touch tip lightly around upper edge of collet as head sits propped in upright position,wait a couple minutes, lightly pull away collet with gentle rotation.

Now you must mount stylus and be sure azimuth is correct, which I am unsure of how to precisely set/adjust.

I convinced the people at apollo masters to cut more.

Contact Sam at apollo/transco and tell her you want a stylus for dss522, reference ortofon styli number 329 (WITHOUT SHANK)

She will ive back an estimate, and is saying they are basically ready to cut as soon as she gets some calls about it.
