Has anyone heard from Flozki?
I tried to reach him last month about reserving a Caruso head and heard nothing either via PM or via email, hope everything is ok.
Regards, Dan.

Me too heard nothing
Re: Last Caruso batch January
Yes all are gone.all who sent me a mail will receive a mail in the next few days with confirmation and the head number .
If you don’t receive that soon you are unfortunately not on the list
There where only 20 something left and I keep 2-3 for fast repair service.if someone on the list will back off I will announce here
Happy cutting and see you in 2022

Hey Flozki, as someone who will never have need of your services, I have to say this on behalf of the people who try to contact you. Why are you so crap at keeping in touch with your clients? Email is not difficult, and you certainly manage to post on this forum when it suits you. Hey, if you want clients, then you need to be nice to them and communicate.
Otherwise it would be better if you just shut up shop.

Re: Last Caruso batch January
exactly what i announced and will do.Otherwise it would be better if you just shut up shop.
i am an almost one man show. in deep shit just to help out regular business for (mostly european) pro cutting rooms.
so if you hear nothing that means we are in deep shit.
i have a very limited output. one or two years , even more waiting time for a little hand crafted item is a reality in any handcrafted business. the current lead time for a vinyl record is 8-12 month and its a damn mass product, where we have many pressing plants around the world. why should it be different for a cheesy one man workshop in the middle of nowhere?
i could have solved that problem by producing like crazy or raising the prices. thats the capitalistic way.
if waiting time is a problem for someone. help yourself and build your own. i gave lots of inputs here. there are many very great contributions from other members on this forum. all is here. use the search and you will find everything.
do i have to apologise for a quite farmer based production principle?
if there is a product the product can be sold. so if you go to the market too late the nice cheese is gone. no more strawberries.
there are seasonal products.not everything is available 24h/365days that happens all the time.
if someone complains he does not get a cutterhead even if he sent me a mail a year ago. this is not my problem.
of course a waiting list would be nice. also long stories why we dont have right now and give timelines we can not keep.
but there where no heads for sale at this time. very easy. i stopped to make unrealistic waiting lists as they get longer and longer and builds up pressure, i can't use.
some smart people sent that reminder mail very regularly and had luck. others had some nice stuff to trade.a few nocked on my door and left with a head.
out of the few complaining people there are quite a lot cutting nice records since years.
now as i produce the last 20 heads i announced here and unfortunately they are gone quick.
there seem plenty of alternatives around now. a perfect moment to stop.
they are gone. and if there is one or two more i will announce.
sorry for this anachroinistic "décroissance" way of business.
caruso was a nice experiment. i think it made a few people happy.
i learned a lot and unfortunately they dont grow on trees and there is other stuff than caruso.
i like do it nice and slow and more output is a different business, that i can not run at the moment.
if there is someone with the possibilities (substantial investments are needed ), send me a nice postcard - no email - and we find a
way he can produce 1000s of caruso heads.i wont do it.

You're right, Flo. Sometimes you have to close up with a period. You have done a lot for the vinyl cutting scene in the last 20 years, but there is no reason to be the fireworker for eveyone.
That's my opinion...

To finish with a period I wanted to say...
Re: Last Caruso batch January
Flo, my whole point is that you have not communicated well with your clients. I have no problem with how you run your business, and it sounds like you run it pretty badly, and blame your clients for daring to ask for product! But the fact is, email is the way people communicate these days, and from the sound of it, you often dont answer your emails.
You could just answer people and say 'I'm sorry I cant provide that now'. Thats very normal in a business. But better to communicate than not.
You are obviously technically very smart, but as a business man? Not so good.

Flo does his thing his way, and it works for him, I am not complaining (And I am about to send him money!).
He clearly is not interested in being more then a very small company, and there is nothing at all wrong with that.
Would it scale? Probably not, but there are enough of us out there who appreciate what he does (Lack of emails and all) that at the scale he wishes to operate he has NO trouble finding customers.
There are **far** more annoying people to deal with in this game.
