TEST CUTTING COMPARISON

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

Hello,
I had never made a test with an original vinyl record...
but here is the test: Our cut -vs- the original record

Happy about the result? :-)

Sounds very similar on laptop PC speakers. I don't normally respond to people who call a record a "vinyl" but I'll bite.... what did you cut it with?

Sorry, you are right. Maybe in Italy we abuse the word "VINYL" :-)
My system:
T560 with Nightingale cutting head and a stylus 320 Synthetic
Stylus not new (used about 50 hours)… so the result could be better

Great idea to do this. You're getting 'warmer', Signor! (:
