Re: Help identify record lathe
it's RCA overhead
you must to attach an external steper motor with speed controller.
take a look

Re: Help identify record lathe
i'm sorry but i don't have idea about second lathe
tha standon turntable is not a good choice
i was owner of st-150 4.5 kg/cm and really sucks
I had many problems with the wobble platter
finaly i return it back to the store and tomorrow i will give a try to Reloop RP-7000
Stay Tuned!

Re: Help identify record lathe
You tried the RP-7000? worked better than St-150?

Re: Help identify record lathe
Much better to use a dc motor for pitch. Stepper motors will cause modulation in your grooves. Literally, you'll hear the steps as background noise in unmodulated grooves (grooves cut with no audio).Gus wrote:you must to attach an external steper motor with speed controller.
