It would require serious refurb - prices are getting way too steep.

too steep for you...

I would say due to rarity and age this is a half-justified price. I have never seen a neumann transcription unit like this. very amazing

OK so its not a Neumann unit. The brand name is "REUTER TON" and each one uses an old Neumann mono head. Looks pretty cool. Description says it was built in 1961. I think price is way too high. Maybe $1,000 - $2,000 would be OK.

Seller's description:

Neumann record cutter vinyl machine dubplate acetate rare studio broadcast unit
Here we have an ultra rare double record cutter machine, made for REUTER TON studio with Neumann technic. Units was built in 1961 and was used in professional studio only. The unit is uncleaned, untouched and untested.Solt as is. Its a double unit, built in the wooden table, two cutting head are included with their cutting "needles". one listening tonearm is also seen. Three tube amplifiers and the tube mixing console. See pictures please! also included are some " NOS, NIB empty records" to cut your own records. Behind the two doors of the machine´s base i found also some cutted units, one is 45 RPM with speech, another one is 33 1/3 RPM from cologne " Karneval " with speech and music. The unit is for collectors and lovers of these old machines! Not many were built, as they were to expensice at that time. worldwide shipping by airmail on 1 or wooden pallets directly to your door is 1750 US$ The weight of the complete system is around 200 kg . Good luck!!

Buy It Now for USD $22,500.00

Without schematics these are a tough decision.
The R12B non-feedback head is not that great.

Would need to turn this into two individual cutting lathes.
they would be cool but require some time and parts--and headaches depending rust and replacement bearings/parts etc

Too high asking for me so my interest must fade

you have to be kidding me here. that is completely unheard of. That's the cost of one presto 6N.

I don't think this is a Neumann machine and probably not worth more than two Presto 6N machines.

If you know more about it, please fill us in.

I did offer $1200 first day which would still cost me around 3k after shipping.
Then I would find out of they are usable or if i just lost 3k....
