Who can help me with my VR T560 cutterhead?

Anything goes! Inventors! Artists! Cutting edge solutions to old problems. But also non-commercial usage of record cutting. Cost- effective, cost-ineffective, nutso, brilliant, terribly fabulous and sometimes fabulously terrible ideas.

I'm going to try making a head, I got Lanzar TWS 1" titanium dome tweeters
Hey Aaron, that's a coincidence, I ordered a set of these last night! Do they have the m4 thread on the back?

I was impressed with the claimed sensitivity figures...

THey are threaded in the back, but they're hard to get the driver out because they're glued in a housing.

Thanks for the reply.
What about leaving the driver in the housing and drilling a hole to get to the thread? What's it like with the grille off? Any chance of some photos? ;-)

yes!
better order a set and then compare.
it's hard to stick this exactly in the center, if you have never done it, not to mention the matching tool!
I have done this several times and still had problems!

There's a screw in the back with a sticker over it so you should be able to get to it easily. In retrospect, I should have just dremel-ed the grille off.. Would have been much easier to deal with.

Oh .. you speak of the Lanzar TWS, I thought it's just around the Phonocar!

yes .. the Lanzar I unfortunately characterize not! ;)

at the Phonocar, you can easily remove the grid

No problem Scott, thanks anyway.

Aaron have you taken it apart yet? Any chance of a photo? I'm too impatient to wait for mine to arrive!

Yah I took it apart. There's nothing left of the housing it's glued in. I can take pictures of what it looks like without the housing

hi everyone.
this thread is very interesting.
you guys are perfect.

now i'm trying to make DIY cutterhead.
i got this tweeter.
http://www.rakuten.de/produkt/bm-audio-mm-6-hochtoener-25mm-1357432675.html

should i remove this parts?
because i did test, sound the tweeter, check vibration with simple cone.
but it was very faint vibration.

so i think should i remove this parts?
(this is same thing as Aaron?)

any help would be appreciated!
best regard,
MERCY

It looks like those come with cables which most likely have cross-over capacitors in them.
Be sure you don't use those. Otherwise you will only get high frequencies.

Thanks Aarron, my Lanzars came today, already fitted to the head but I messed up on one side, the cone isn't central and the epoxy glue already dried so I have to order another pair. Gutted! I had it all perfect but I stupidly adjusted the M4 screw behind and shifted it all out of place!

Tweeters look and sound promising though! What I will do so that they are not totally wasted is to test how much power I can give them before they blow!

hey,..cool ;)

wow ... the TWS do look really good!
I believe that I ordered also times!
I'm curious times on the frequency response!

Hey Bryan,.
You're Caruso expert!
My question to you:
Is there a possibility that Caruso adapt to this Tweeter? :?
I'm a bit overwhelmed with.
Too much, what we need to change anything there! :(
what do you mean?

best regards SCOTTY 8)

Skotty ,
I tell you again. The equalizer Behringer has 62 art such a module, much more powerful, sophisticated. For each frequency is one such system, including the 62, plus others. These tweeters are serially connected capacitor 2.2 to 10 micro Farad, most often 4.7 micro F, Unsolder this capacitor. I do a little bit more advanced electronics, the electronic system is nonsense, forget about it quickly.
Photo equalizer Yamaha, think a moment ....
