Re: First Post - Starting out in the UK
Seems like i see mostly of MSS and LeDiscographie/Pierre Clement lathes pop up in europe/uk. I sell lathes and can usually be convinced to deliver and install them in the UK. Delivery is usually cheaper than shipping and paying import duties. All of my lathes are fully mechanically restored and read...

Re: PRESTO K-8 NEWBIE IN FLORIDA
Thanks for the plugs yall! Ryan, i can definitely help you get on the road, especially if the lathe was being used when you received it. But there are still a million variables about your machine, your setup, your experience level, etc etc etc that would take forever to fully discuss on the forum. A...

Re: Complete Noob Here
Start here https://www.lathetrolls.com/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=8328 There is a huge chasm between a t560 (which very few people can ACTUALLY buy if they WANTED to. The trip to Germany is not the least of the issues with purchasing one. Search "souri" on here for peoples experiences) and a k8. Putting a...

Re: $40 mystery lathe!
Yeah. He rewound a couple heads for me years ago, grounded the coils to the case or something so it smoked immediately after sending any audio through it (he only tests it by using it as a playback pickup, and doesnt run audio at all). I sent them back and he ignored my emails and calls for a year ...

Get some of our embossing cones and some polycarbonate squares from yr local plastic supplier and a 2 hour tech support call ...

Re: Is a Presto 75A a good candidate for mono punk records?
Andd.... I went back and bought the thing for a little less than $200 It is at least going to need: some needles, an amplifier, and new rubber for the platter as the old one is cracked. I also gotta figure out how this old 4 prong plug works. Are two prongs the input for the cutting head and two th...

Re: Is a Presto 75A a good candidate for mono punk records?

The biggest issue is most likely going to be the rubber tire around the rim, but I sell Jed's external belt drive motors that will work on it, but you will have to break out a grinder to make two gaps for...
