How do you use Turtle Wax

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

How do you use Turtle Wax

Hey Guys,

Quick question here, I ran out of the pink souri's anti-static fluid and I hear most of the people here use Turtle Wax.
I went to buy some wax&dry one, man it leaves a mess on the disk .... it definitely works no problem with swarf or anything, but it leaves streak on the disk.

Is there a specific way you're using it? Or are you using any other product to dilute it?
I don't mind cleaning the records after.... I just thought maybe I was doing something wrong.

Cheers
Ben

i generally give the whole thing a good shake before i do a sesh

the oil helps with squeaks and the wax softens the disc

no problems as of yet

cheers

I use a microfiber after having apply it on my whole carbody. It works good and my car is really shiny.

Congrats to Todd, having introduce a shitty product in the vinyl game that everybody trust in today.

Hey guys, I've tried butter and it works fine!!!!
