GE a1 500 tonearm counterweight?

This is where record cutters raise questions about cutting, and trade wisdom and experiment results. We love Scully, Neumann, Presto, & Rek-O-Kut lathes and Wilcox-Gay Recordios (among others). We are excited by the various modern pro and semi-pro systems, too, in production and development. We use strange, extinct disc-based dictation machines. And other stuff, too.

GE a1 500 tonearm counterweight?

Taking a shot in the dark: I need the sliding counterweight for a GE A1 500 baton tonearm, and there used to be an individual who made replacements that they sold through ebay and some other sites. Any chance that anyone either knows who that was or knows a source for a replacement? I don't know the specs on the original (primarily the weight) so I can't look into having one made. It's on a turntable I'm looking to unload and I don't know that anyone would appreciate the jury rig I have on it now (just used a small piece of aluminum and some tape.)

Thanks,

Mark
