Restore or replace ? Galv containers

Once you have cut a master laquer, you have metal stampers created and have records pressed from them. Discuss manufacturing here. (Record Matrix Electroforming- Plating, Vinyl Record Pressing.)

So these where laying on the outside, which was included in a deal. Would you try to restore these or does anyone know any good fitting new containers instead ?

I feel that if I save them I will end up having them on a shelf for 5 years until I get time to fix them, but on the other side I love to keep original parts.

What would you do ?

Replace. If they are lined with vulcanized rubber, you would have to strip it and have the rubber replaced, This should only cost about $5,000. You can make new ones from PVC for less and upgrade to a diagonal design for better quality.

What are you planning to do with this gear?
