Question about pro Neumann / Scully oscilloscope connection

Question about pro Neumann / Scully oscilloscope connection:

On a Neumann or Scully set-up with built-in oscilloscope, when the scope is connected in the "normal / traditional" way (whatever that may be), is this the pattern one would expect to see on the scope from a mostly IN-PHASE stereo signal? (i.e. one which is mostly lateral movement of the stylus):

Hi bob ,

vertical is the mono , and , so .. ,horizontal the out of phase

but ..
a lot of cutting room plug it to have the in phase horizontal , like the information cutted on the disk
