Vestax VRX - 2000 Cutting Head
Hi Everybody,
I am searching for the best prices on a new cutting head, htfr want £199.00, would anyone kindly know any cheaper solutions....
Would like to introduce myself: I am a 40 yr old producer who has recently brought a vestax vxr 2000 for dubplate / promo cutting.
And cant wait for the challenges that lie ahead.....

Re: Vestax VRX - 2000 Cutting Head
welcome aboard!
I don't have any experience with the vestax cutter, but people on this forum have written very unfavorable things about it. You might want to do a forum search and do a little reading. I'm sure someone who knows the machine will also post soon.
I'm afraid there is no such thing. Cutterheads are delicate devices with very small manufacturing tolerances, complicated and expensive to manufacture. I'm surprised you can get one for 199 pounds.Woo40 wrote: any cheaper solutions....

Are you sure you need a new cutter head, or just the stylus?
HTFR has an ebay auction, that has a misleading title. I think they are only selling a stylus, not a cutterhead:

Well, the pricing and availability of diamond stylii is a constant topic of lamentation on this forum (e.g. andybee's thread).
If you cut vestax vinyl blanks a diamond is mandatory, because the material is very hard. The shank of the stylus in the ebay pictures looks rather long. I don't have any idea if they are compatible with other cutter heads. If you're out of luck, there is no other source than the original Vestax parts. There are people who can make custom styli, but it will definitenly be more expensive. Let's hope someone more knowlegdeable about the vrx 2000 will join this discussion.

Hi there
I m new here, i ve spoken to my supplier and it seems there is only one model available for this machine. I ve got a few available but has anyone else heard of any other types available? My supplier doesnt think so nor does any research on the net show anything up. I can do a much better price than HTFR anyway....
