Am hoping someone can help me- i now have a fully working circa 1938 Presto model D (identified by your good selves!), but have now got stuck on what size/type of needles will be compatible.... I've checked with the transco blanx people, but they're a bit stuck too! Am planning to use 10" dub plates at this point, to avoid wastage....
Can anyone help? THANK YOU!!!

my choice is this: (http://www.blanx-uk.com/price_list.html)

Transco:
Neuman, ruby with aluminium shank, facet width 4.2, 3.8 or 3.5
ortofon, ruby with aluminium shank, facet width 4.2
grampian short shank, ruby with aluminium shank, facet width 5.0
fairchild/presto short shank, ruby with aluminium shank, facet width 5.0
westrex 3D, ruby with aluminium shank, facet width 4.0

Adamant:
Neuman, Duralumin, saphire, tip radius 1 micron
Neuman, Duralumin, saphire, tip radius 3 micron
