What's are your thoughts on side paring? I have a number of double LPs in my collection and some pair sides A/B, C/D while others have stacker friendly A/D, B/C.
Does it depend on genre? Does the audiophile crowd who doesn't use stackers look down at A/D, B/C?
Heavy stuff, I know...
Thanks,
Double LP Side Pairing

Re: Double LP Side Pairing
I have only ever cut one project stacker-style. A historic set meant to replicate its original incarnation. I don't think many people stack records anymore and think A/B C/D is the most accepted way these days.

Re: Double LP Side Pairing
In Australia it was only RCA who did the stacker friendly pairing and it was frustrating for those of us who didn't have stackers. It meant having two records out of the jacket at the same time.
I think we all expect sides to follow the number line... ie: 1, 2, 3, 4 in that order. It seems more logical especially today when people are buying 'vinyls' for the first time. Let's not confuse them.
