Borrowed a Numark portable turntable to check some reference lacquers that smithadamm cut for me. It's got the same tone arm and red plastic ceramic cart that's on all of those USB turntables People Have. I knew they were awful but this measured frequency response is a laff riot:

We're both concerned that future generations will think records are supposed to sound like this. Where is the factory cranking out ceramic cartridges and how can they be stopped?
