I am engraving masters (apollo) but don't know what voltage / current to supply my 462 Fairchild/Presto long shank stylus. I'm not using a lathe, kinda experimenting but don't want to melt the fine wires. Current and Voltage that I need to know. Any pointers / help much appreciated. Thanks. Iain.

i have been using same type of stylus (462 long). 6VAC with 0.25A applied to stylus with nickel wire.
