I'm surprised it hadn't happened already! Is this the last big consolidation? Sony already got RCA a few years back.

Sony's bid is for EMI Music Publishing and not EMI Records, hence changing the title of this post. :-)

The same aticle though mentions Universal Music's bid to buy EMI Records, with the regulators' decision due in August. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

Cool beans.

Its been on-going for a nearly 2 years now. This is the only info I have come across recently. This first hint came when EMI made a move to try sell abbey road.
