He likes to use the term 'yes, virginia' very often when explaining things to people

See, look...

Posted in "Secrets of the lathe trolls"
cd4cutter wrote:...Yes, Virginia, this is more dense than the spirals on optical discs like CDs and DVDs...
Taken from ' Our cutters and their work'
cd4cutter wrote:...Yes, Virginia, we still used actual blueprints when these devices were designed....
And again in "Secrets of the lathe trolls"
cd4cutter wrote:...Yes, Virginia, it's true. Analog weenies always want to poo-poo digital audio (I'm NOT one of them), ....
I'm onto this guy's paper trail. What is he trying to pull here?

Ha. I wish he were still posting here. He knows a lot of stuff, that guy.

Just this month he helped me out on a problem involving a 1950s Seeburg jukebox.

There was a big altercation about RIAA curves. It is possible that the fight was about semantics, or apples and oranges, in the end. Both guys in the fight were highly regarded and super-knowledgeable.

Sometimes I'm a poor referee.

yeah for sure. he seemed to work in the industry pretty seriously during the heyday. I have read his posts.

I was stuck in VA for a while and did a search for any resources down there. That was all that came up!
