Not looking for motors. Not looking for pitch system.

All I need is the sledge, platter and body.

Any leads would be great. Any condition considered.

You might have seen this, already, Mr. Montgomery, as it's on ebay. Nevertheless, anyone looking for Scully castings (and a Westrex cutter and Haeco amps, with some barnacles) might like to view this auction. Seller offers storage until shipping can be arranged. Pricey for a basket case, but maybe the high ask is merely to start the dialogue with something to scare off bottom-feeders. Many vendors use ebay for the free, global advertising, but give a high ask because they actually want to discourage a sale, there, since a significant percentage will go to ebay. Those sellers will, therefore, sometimes accept a much lower offer off-site. I don't know the seller, but the feedback looks good, even if it's 100% positive (;.

P. S., it's funny that this forum's spell checker doesn't recognize the words, Scully, Neumann, Westrex, or Haeco. I realize it's a phpBB thing... Ok, even 'phpBB' is underlined in red.

Tim,

I seen it already and know a little about the sale.
Seller wants top dollar for the sale and not prepared to budge.
Unfortunately, I am not prepared to pay 30 odd for a suspension and a half nut.

In 2011, 30 k US got a fully restored VMS, '...with a guarantee.'

What's shown in the auction pictures is far from 'fully,' let alone, 'restored.'

Of course, it would be nice for someone, since it has everything. All he'd need is a willingness for the restoration to take an unreasonable amount of time.

Can you form a group (of trolls) willing to buy and divvy up the parts, according to interest, having pooled assets to form the winning offer? It results in destruction of the original system, but it lives on, albeit, dispersed, in different studios.

There should be an app for that.

Good luck, Sir!
