for sale: Presto 6N complete working system

looking to sell my second 6N I've owned since 2012, sad to see it go but I'd like to upgrade to two VR systems and just keep one presto system.
the deal includes:
6N chassis and overhead, serial number 263
spencer microscope with light, 33 rpm and 78 rpm idler wheels (redone by terrys rubber rollers)
Presto 92B, tube cutting amplifier, serial number A199 (new tubes, gone over by a qualified tech in 2016)
Presto 1D head, original condition, 500 ohm serial number 8598 (this is without a doubt the best presto head I've used)
112 and 224 LPI feedscrews

I have replaced the bodine motor, redone the chassis wiring, replaced the feedscrew knife and spring.

*a few items up for consideration*
I have the 6N currently mounted in a large table, which I may part with if you're interested for an additional price.
I personally own the carrying case for the 6N, but I'd really like to keep it.
Alternatively, you could build your own carrying case before picking up, I'd be happy to provide measurements of the original.
the audax 16" tonearm is also available for an additional price, as is a 45 RPM brass adapter, timing bar, poly blanks and stylus.
please mention your interest in any other accessories and we can come to an agreement.
the audio path from the lathe is setup for an older style presto amp, I didn't modify that at all. Instead I made my own spade lug connectors directly to the amp from the head.
I'd be happy to discuss options in the audio path.

I'd be happy to answer any specific questions in this thread, or privately through email: tragwag (at) gmail (dottttttt) com

looking for $5,500 - open to reasonable offers, serious inquires only please!
it's very rare to find a working system for sale, especially with the original tube amp and original head.
local pickup in Tallahassee FL

wanted to put it up for sale on here first, it will go on Ebay next week.
a portion of the sale will go to support the lathe trolls site.

Thanks so much for looking,
-Tyler

Looks like a good deal Tyler. Especially knowing you this long through LatheTrolls.
I'm sure a Troll will pick up the whole package (I hope so). And a totally working all Presto system at that!
Best of luck from out west.

Bryan

What are those washers you got on the head? Is that for weight? Do they come with the setup? I agree, this is a sweet piece. I think I'm gonna stick with my k8 until Dana comes along though. If you don't get that joke you're not a real troll. Cheers

thanks everyone! yeah the washers are for weight for embossing, I've found the perfect angle doesn't always apply enough pressure to get depth.
worth mentioning that this system can be used to cut lacquers, emboss on plastic, or cut on plastic.

lathe is now listed on Ebay - with a different audio path.
I decided to sell the 1D head and 92B amp separately, let me know if you're interested.

still up for sale! the Ebay listing includes a 1C head and solid state amp, listed at $4,500
I'm selling the 92B amp and 1D head (as a package) looking for $1,750 is there's interest.
That will go to the Ebay after the 6N sells.

thanks,
-Tyler

edit: I'll consider shipping within the continental US
your choice of 1C or 1D cutterhead, tube amp/solid state amp, or no amp.
I'll include a sapphire stylus, and a few 7" blanks to get started.

The 6N is sold!
if anyone's interested in the 92B amp, that's still available.
not really interested in selling the 1D, but I would consider a package deal with the amp if it's fair.
